Narratives of Resistance is an independent group of passionate individuals who primarily seek to raise funds for Palestine and Lebanon. With branches in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Athens, Melbourne, London, and Nottingham, we seek to hold screenings and guided discussions in each city. These guided discussions will help audience members to engage deeply with the themes and issues presented in the short films. Alongside our philanthropic efforts, we seek to enable deeper learning and appreciation of Palestine and Lebanon’s history. Our group, will host a miniature film festival showcasing altogether 6 short films and documentaries from Palestine Film Institute’s Provoked Narratives program. Each day will hold three screenings with the following themes: childhood in the resistance, Palestine and Lebanon’s long history, and the iron-willed hope that Palestinians still hold. A skilled moderator will guide discussions after each screening and ensure that they will not stray from its educational purpose.
